When can we pick-up the vehicle? Vehicle pick-up time is between 1.00 pm and 4.00 pm from Monday to Saturday. Please call the station on the morning of your pick-up to schedule your pick-up appointment. Toll free numbers for each station can be found under the Locations menu on this page. Before you pick up your vehicle, we need to ensure it has been cleaned thoroughly and checked mechanically. Arriving at a station without a prior appointment may result in delays, so please try to phone ahead so we can ensure things go as smoothly as possible. We would like to make your experience as pleasant and efficient as possible but do require your co-operation! Do you offer a courtesy shuttle between the airport and your pick-up locations? Sorry, we are unable to provide a courtesy shuttle service between the airport and our AmeriDream locations. Please make your own transport arrangements. How long will a pick-up process take? From the time you arrive until you leave our station, it may take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. Please count on approximately ½ hour for the paper work. The personalized vehicle instruction may take anywhere between ½ to 1 hour. Allocating this amount of time ensures that all your questions can be clearly answered, and that you are fully aware of how to operate your vehicle before you leave on your trip. In what condition will I receive my vehicle? We guarantee that all our units will be “ready to go” when you receive them. They will be thoroughly cleaned, with fully charged batteries, full tanks of propane, and empty holding tanks. If you have chosen to include our convenience kit option, we will ensure that they are complete and that they have been placed in your vehicle. We would like to pick-up or drop-off on a Sunday. Is this possible? Our stations are usually closed on Sundays – however, we do arrange special pick-ups and drop-offs for an extra fee of $375.00 per occurrence. What is the security deposit at pick-up? A refundable $1,000.00 ($1,500.00 for a driver between 21 to 24 years) security deposit will be processed on a credit card at the time of pick-up. This deposit MUST be made by credit card and will be refunded to the same card at drop off as long as the vehicle is returned in a clean and undamaged condition with all equipment and/or convenience kits returned. In addition, an open credit card imprint is taken with all rentals and it will be destroyed at the time of drop-off. Are pets allowed? Sorry, no pets are allowed. A $500.00 minimum charge will apply for cleaning any unit that a pet has traveled in. Guide dogs are an exception to this rule and are permitted. May I smoke in the vehicle? No. Our vehicles are smoke-free. Any unit that is smoked in will be charged a minimum of $500.00 for cleaning. Are there any areas I cannot travel to in my AmeriDream RV? Yes, AmeriDream RVs are not permitted to enter Alaska or Mexico at any time. Travel to Death Valley is limited to the low season (October 1 through April 30) due to extremely high temperatures which can cause system failures. If you are planning to travel to the Yukon, travel on the North Canol Highway is prohibited. Guests assume all responsibility for any expense or loss of time while traveling in restricted areas. Are we permitted to tow anything behind the RV? Generally speaking, our vehicles are not equipped with a hitch and we do not allow any towing. Your insurance coverage with AmeriDream will not cover any kind of accident if you are towing anything. Can I put a canoe or other objects on the roof of the vehicle? We do not allow the transportation of canoes or other objects on the roofs of our vehicles. To prevent accidents, we do not install ladders on our vehicles.
